The Maldives' most popular window. resorts fully booked and prices at their highest.
The Maldives is the world's most extreme island chain: 1,200 coral islands scattered across the Indian Ocean, most barely above sea level, surrounded by some of the clearest water on the planet. The experience is centred on the resort: overwater bungalows above the lagoon, house reefs with manta rays and whale sharks accessible from the beach, and an almost total absence of anything except sun, sea, and silence. It's not a destination for travellers who find doing nothing difficult.
Diving and snorkelling are exceptional throughout. The thilas (submerged reef pinnacles) in the atolls host some of the densest marine life in the Indian Ocean.
February to March are the prime window for Maldives, balancing good weather, fewer crowds and competitive fares. The Window Score peaks at 81/100 in February.
