The location is processed on your device, only the resulting airport (e.g. Sydney) is stored and used, your exact coordinates are never sent to our servers or stored by us. You can decline this and pick your airport from a list instead.

2.5 Mobile App Push Notifications

If you turn on notifications and set an alert (for example, telling us when a destination's rating rises above a score you choose), the app generates a random device identifier and sends it to us along with your push notification token and your chosen departure airport, so we can check your alert against live ratings and send you the notification when it triggers. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any other identity, and is not used for advertising or tracking across other apps or websites. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device's Settings, and alerts you have not set are never sent to us.
